# PSD vs The GLD Shop

The clearest difference is monetization model: The GLD Shop at free against PSD's free with in-app purchases. PSD's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PSD against 4.9 for The GLD Shop. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13K and 9.1K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of PSD's written reviews are positive against 81% of The GLD Shop's.

PSD ships an update every 4 weeks, The GLD Shop monthly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
