# PSD vs MaxPureCases

The clearest difference is rating: PSD at 4.9 against MaxPureCases's 3.7. PSD also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 50%) and ads (none vs shown). MaxPureCases's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PSD holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PSD has 13K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of PSD's written reviews are positive against 50% of MaxPureCases's.

PSD ships an update every 3 weeks, MaxPureCases daily. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
