# Hatching Hugs vs The Parachute

The clearest difference is rating: Hatching Hugs at 5.0 against The Parachute's 2.0. The Parachute's advantage is review sentiment (14% vs 0%) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hatching Hugs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Parachute has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Hatching Hugs's written reviews are positive against 14% of The Parachute's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
