# starmatch vs Tea AI

The clearest difference is rating: starmatch at 4.3 against Tea AI's 3.7. starmatch also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 35). Tea AI's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (55% vs 33%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. starmatch sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Tea AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

starmatch holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: starmatch has 3.5K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of starmatch's written reviews are positive against 55% of Tea AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

starmatch ships an update every 5 days, Tea AI every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
