# Dova Chat vs Famy

Dova Chat and Famy both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of Famy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Dova Chat's. Famy also leads on ratings volume (26 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dova Chat sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Famy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Dova Chat against 5.0 for Famy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Famy has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Dova Chat's written reviews are positive against 90% of Famy's.

Dova Chat ships an update every 2 weeks, Famy every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
