# Exocus vs Home Logbook

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Exocus at 161 against Home Logbook's 2. Exocus also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Home Logbook's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exocus sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Home Logbook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Exocus against 5.0 for Home Logbook. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exocus has 161 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Exocus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Home Logbook's.

Exocus ships an update every 3 weeks, Home Logbook weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
