# Exocus vs Countdown

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Countdown at none against Exocus's 7. Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Exocus's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exocus sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Countdown asks for nothing beyond the download.

Exocus ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
