# BBrain vs PicMi

The clearest difference is rating: PicMi at 4.8 against BBrain's 2.9. PicMi also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 32). BBrain's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BBrain sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PicMi sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicMi holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicMi has 2.3K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of BBrain's written reviews are positive against 42% of PicMi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BBrain ships an update every 3 days, PicMi every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
