# Torques vs Schoolyard Social

The clearest difference is update cadence: Schoolyard Social at every 2 weeks against Torques's every 7 months. Schoolyard Social also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Torques against 5.0 for Schoolyard Social. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Schoolyard Social has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
