# WellShort vs HiShort

The clearest difference is rating: HiShort at 4.4 against WellShort's 3.4. HiShort also leads on ratings volume (894 vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). WellShort's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 12%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WellShort sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month and HiShort sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HiShort holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HiShort has 894 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of WellShort's written reviews are positive against 12% of HiShort's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WellShort ships an update monthly, HiShort every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
