# Project vs Ethical Secure VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Project at 4.0 against Ethical Secure VPN's 2.0. Project also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Ethical Secure VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (96% vs 83%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Project sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per month and Ethical Secure VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Project holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Project's written reviews are positive against 96% of Ethical Secure VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Project ships an update every 2 months, Ethical Secure VPN every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
