# Medterra vs Maud's Coffee

The clearest difference is ads: Maud's Coffee at none against Medterra's shown. Medterra's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 64%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Medterra against 4.8 for Maud's Coffee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medterra has 1.1K ratings behind it against 213, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Medterra's written reviews are positive against 64% of Maud's Coffee's.

Medterra ships an update fortnightly, Maud's Coffee every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
