# Alarm Clock vs egg

The clearest difference is rating: Alarm Clock at 4.6 against egg's 4.0. Alarm Clock also leads on ratings volume (22 vs 1). egg's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and egg sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alarm Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Alarm Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of egg's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Clock ships an update every 6 weeks, egg weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
