# VPN MAX X proxy VPN vs Secure VPN ・ Private Internet

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Secure VPN ・ Private Internet at 92% against VPN MAX X proxy VPN's 42%. Secure VPN ・ Private Internet also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). VPN MAX X proxy VPN's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (205 vs 30). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN MAX X proxy VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Secure VPN ・ Private Internet sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN MAX X proxy VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN MAX X proxy VPN has 205 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of VPN MAX X proxy VPN's written reviews are positive against 92% of Secure VPN ・ Private Internet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN MAX X proxy VPN ships an update fortnightly, Secure VPN ・ Private Internet every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
