# DMV Help vs NY DMV Prep

The clearest difference is update cadence: DMV Help at every 4 days against NY DMV Prep's monthly. DMV Help also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 1). NY DMV Prep's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DMV Help sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month and NY DMV Prep sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DMV Help ships an update every 4 days, NY DMV Prep monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
