# Helys vs Boost

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Helys at none against Boost's 4. Helys also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Boost's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boost sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Helys asks for nothing beyond the download.

Helys ships an update every 3 months, Boost every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
