# Life Clock vs Death Reminder App

The clearest difference is rating: Death Reminder App at 4.2 against Life Clock's 3.0. Death Reminder App also leads on ratings volume (104 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). Life Clock's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Life Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Death Reminder App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Death Reminder App holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Death Reminder App has 104 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Life Clock's written reviews are positive against 41% of Death Reminder App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Life Clock ships an update fortnightly, Death Reminder App every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
