# PROBE PLUS vs Silver Probe

The clearest difference is rating: Silver Probe at 2.3 against PROBE PLUS's 1.5. Silver Probe also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). PROBE PLUS's advantage is ratings volume (113 vs 22). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Silver Probe holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PROBE PLUS has 113 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of PROBE PLUS's written reviews are positive against 0% of Silver Probe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PROBE PLUS ships an update every 2 months, Silver Probe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
