# Ethical Secure VPN vs Nostalgic VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Nostalgic VPN at 4.0 against Ethical Secure VPN's 2.0. Nostalgic VPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Ethical Secure VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ethical Secure VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Nostalgic VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nostalgic VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ethical Secure VPN has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ethical Secure VPN ships an update every 4 days, Nostalgic VPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
