# DandyHats vs Hatr

DandyHats and Hatr both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Hatr's written reviews are positive against 56% of DandyHats's. Hatr also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). DandyHats's advantage is ratings volume (620 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DandyHats against 5.0 for Hatr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DandyHats has 620 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of DandyHats's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hatr's.

DandyHats ships an update every 5 weeks, Hatr weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
