# Flowstate vs Surflens

The clearest difference is rating: Surflens at 4.7 against Flowstate's 2.7. Surflens also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and ratings volume (20 vs 3). Flowstate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flowstate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Surflens sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Surflens holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Surflens has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Flowstate's written reviews are positive against 88% of Surflens's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
