# FasterWaxer vs Birkebeiner

The clearest difference is update cadence: FasterWaxer at every 2 weeks against Birkebeiner's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FasterWaxer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Birkebeiner sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FasterWaxer ships an update every 2 weeks, Birkebeiner every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
