# BodyCandy vs Dubia

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dubia at free against BodyCandy's free with in-app purchases. Dubia also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 49%). BodyCandy's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 78). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BodyCandy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BodyCandy has 1.8K ratings behind it against 78, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of BodyCandy's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dubia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BodyCandy ships an update every 3 weeks, Dubia every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
