# FT1 vs Satellite Map

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FT1 at none against Satellite Map's 3. FT1 also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Satellite Map's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Satellite Map sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. FT1 asks for nothing beyond the download.

FT1 ships an update every 6 weeks, Satellite Map every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
