# M6G Forum vs Ranchbook

The clearest difference is rating: Ranchbook at 5.0 against M6G Forum's 4.0. Ranchbook also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 21 months). M6G Forum's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ranchbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: M6G Forum has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

M6G Forum ships an update every 21 months, Ranchbook every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
