# VU PLAYER PRO vs gigPrompter

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VU PLAYER PRO at 708 against gigPrompter's 1. VU PLAYER PRO also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). gigPrompter's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VU PLAYER PRO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and gigPrompter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

gigPrompter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VU PLAYER PRO has 708 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VU PLAYER PRO ships an update every 6 weeks, gigPrompter every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
