# Countdown vs Until Nxt

The clearest difference is update cadence: Until Nxt at every 2 days against Countdown's every 6 weeks. Until Nxt also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Until Nxt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ships an update every 6 weeks, Until Nxt every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
