# Digital Notebook vs EasyNotes

Digital Notebook and EasyNotes both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 52% of EasyNotes's written reviews are positive against 10% of Digital Notebook's. EasyNotes also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (4K vs 248). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Notebook sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and EasyNotes sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Digital Notebook against 4.6 for EasyNotes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EasyNotes has 4K ratings behind it against 248, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 10% of Digital Notebook's written reviews are positive against 52% of EasyNotes's.

Digital Notebook ships an update every 6 weeks, EasyNotes every 9 days. Both last shipped on September 28, 2026.
