# Mood Bubble vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Mood Bubble at none against Countdown's shown. Mood Bubble also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (677 vs 103). Countdown's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mood Bubble sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Countdown sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Mood Bubble against 4.5 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mood Bubble has 677 ratings behind it against 103, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Mood Bubble's written reviews are positive against 62% of Countdown's.

Mood Bubble ships an update every 4 days, Countdown every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
