# Find Camera vs Spy / Hidden Camera Detector

The clearest difference is monetization model: Find Camera at free with in-app purchases against Spy / Hidden Camera Detector's subscription. Find Camera also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1). Spy / Hidden Camera Detector's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Find Camera sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Spy / Hidden Camera Detector sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Find Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.6K and 815 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Find Camera's written reviews are positive against 60% of Spy / Hidden Camera Detector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Find Camera ships an update every 11 months, Spy / Hidden Camera Detector every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
