# ReadLoud vs QR Maker

ReadLoud and QR Maker both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of QR Maker's written reviews are positive against 17% of ReadLoud's. ReadLoud's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadLoud sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and QR Maker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
