# Paper vs Quick Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Quick Notes at 299 against Paper's 2. Quick Notes also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and device support (5 vs 3). Paper's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Quick Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Notes has 299 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Paper's written reviews are positive against 77% of Quick Notes's.

Paper ships an update fortnightly, Quick Notes every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
