The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LinkTV at none against Pure's 4. LinkTV also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Pure's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pure sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. LinkTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

LinkTV ships an update every 8 months, Pure every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
