# Mode On vs Micro

The clearest difference is ads: Micro at none against Mode On's shown. Mode On's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mode On sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Micro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mode On ships an update every 4 days, Micro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
