# FarmKeep vs Showly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Showly at free against FarmKeep's free with in-app purchases. Showly also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). FarmKeep's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (265 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FarmKeep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Showly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FarmKeep holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FarmKeep has 265 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of FarmKeep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Showly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FarmKeep ships an update every 11 days, Showly every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
