# Shimoe Manga Reader vs Velo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Velo at 100% against Shimoe Manga Reader's 48%. Velo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Shimoe Manga Reader's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 2) and chart position (#174 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shimoe Manga Reader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Velo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
