# PolyChat vs AITalk

The clearest difference is rating: PolyChat at 4.9 against AITalk's 3.7. PolyChat also leads on ratings volume (206 vs 3). AITalk's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and AITalk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PolyChat holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 206 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of PolyChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of AITalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PolyChat ships an update every 2 weeks, AITalk every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
