# PolyChat vs FluentFriend AI Language Tutor

The clearest difference is rating: PolyChat at 4.9 against FluentFriend AI Language Tutor's 4.3. PolyChat also leads on ratings volume (224 vs 20). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and FluentFriend AI Language Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PolyChat holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 224 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of PolyChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of FluentFriend AI Language Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PolyChat ships an update every 2 weeks, FluentFriend AI Language Tutor every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
