# PolyChat vs PhoSpeak

The clearest difference is ads: PhoSpeak at none against PolyChat's shown. PolyChat's advantage is ratings volume (215 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and PhoSpeak sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PolyChat against 5.0 for PhoSpeak. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 215 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
