# PolyChat vs LinguaLive

The clearest difference is rating: PolyChat at 4.9 against LinguaLive's 3.0. PolyChat also leads on ratings volume (206 vs 2). LinguaLive's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and LinguaLive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PolyChat holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 206 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PolyChat ships an update every 2 weeks, LinguaLive weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
