# PolyChat vs Learn Languages

The clearest difference is ads: Learn Languages at none against PolyChat's shown. Learn Languages also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). PolyChat's advantage is ratings volume (229 vs 8). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Learn Languages sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PolyChat against 5.0 for Learn Languages. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 229 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of PolyChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Learn Languages's.

PolyChat ships an update every 2 weeks, Learn Languages every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
