# reFilm vs WhyHere

The clearest difference is ads: WhyHere at none against reFilm's shown. WhyHere also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). reFilm's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. reFilm sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and WhyHere sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

reFilm ships an update fortnightly, WhyHere every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
