# Wellnote vs NoteSam

The clearest difference is ads: Wellnote at none against NoteSam's shown. Wellnote also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). NoteSam's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wellnote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and NoteSam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wellnote ships an update fortnightly, NoteSam every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
