# SnackShort vs BestShort

The clearest difference is ads: SnackShort at none against BestShort's shown. SnackShort also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 70%) and ratings volume (16K vs 1.7K). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnackShort sells 25 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and BestShort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SnackShort against 4.7 for BestShort. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnackShort has 16K ratings behind it against 1.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of SnackShort's written reviews are positive against 70% of BestShort's.

SnackShort ships an update fortnightly, BestShort every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
