# Softgoods vs Glimmer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Glimmer at 5.8K against Softgoods's 74. Glimmer also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (91% vs 74%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Softgoods sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Glimmer sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Glimmer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Glimmer has 5.8K ratings behind it against 74, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of Softgoods's written reviews are positive against 91% of Glimmer's.

Softgoods ships an update fortnightly, Glimmer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
