# Basic Calendar vs Zapp Calendar

The clearest difference is update cadence: Zapp Calendar at every 5 days against Basic Calendar's every 2 weeks. Basic Calendar's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basic Calendar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Zapp Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basic Calendar ships an update every 2 weeks, Zapp Calendar every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
