# Squiddy vs ALDEN

The clearest difference is update cadence: ALDEN at every 2 weeks against Squiddy's every 6 weeks. ALDEN also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Squiddy ships an update every 6 weeks, ALDEN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
