# My Notes vs Simple Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Simple Notes at 230 against My Notes's 3. My Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Notes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Simple Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.39 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Notes has 230 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 80% and 80% positive.

My Notes ships an update every 11 days, Simple Notes every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on August 5, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
