# WAS vs iStory

The clearest difference is price: iStory at Free against WAS's $2.49. WAS's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (96 vs 14). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

iStory is free to download; WAS costs $2.49 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for WAS against 4.7 for iStory. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WAS has 96 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WAS ships an update fortnightly, iStory every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
