# Superead vs Speed reading

The clearest difference is rating: Speed reading at 4.7 against Superead's 4.4. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superead sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Speed reading sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speed reading holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 88 and 143 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Superead's written reviews are positive against 25% of Speed reading's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Superead ships an update every 3 weeks, Speed reading every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
